I'm not receiving notifications, even though they are enabled

It's possible that, despite having notifications enabled in the Ommnio app, your mobile device may not receive them. We will now explain what you need to do to activate them.

I have an iPhone

If you're not receiving notifications on your iPhone, it's because you haven't enabled notification permissions for the Ommnio app. To enable them, follow these steps:

  • Go to Settings > Notifications
  • Look for the Ommnio app in the list of apps that you'll see
  • Make sure you have notifications enabled. Here's how the screen will look:

I have an Android

In Android, you may not receive notifications for two reasons. Let's address them:

1. You haven't enabled notification permissions for Ommnio. To enable the permissions, follow these steps:

  • Go to Settings > Notifications
  • At first glance, you'll see the list of installed apps, or perhaps only the most used apps. In the latter case, tap on "See all".
  • Look for the Ommnio app and make sure the notification switch is active. Here's how it will look:

2. Despite having permissions, your mobile device blocks Ommnio's notifications when it's in power saving mode.

  • Go to Settings > Battery
  • You'll see a section named "Inactive Apps". Tap on it and make sure that Ommnio is NOT in the list. This feature causes the app to become inactive when the mobile device is idle and, therefore, stops receiving notifications. Make sure to remove Ommnio from the list so that it doesn't become inactive when your mobile device enters "battery saving mode".
